Opinions are cheap.
The opinions of this world mostly drift and change.
There is collective popular opinion which attaches to cultures for a period in time but changes like the sand on the seashore.
There are individual opinions. Each of the billions of people on earth has his or her opinions on multiple subjects = billions x billions of opinions.
We pride ourselves on our opinions and may put forth our often hollow reasoning as to why our opinions should be taken notice of beyond others, becoming wise in our own eyes.
Often our very limited human reasoning is put in the place of God creating an idol which displaces the thoughts of God as revealed to us and dangerously offends His majesty.
The only way out of the maze of opinion is to immerse ourselves in God’s word and learn to think more like God does. A good dose of the Apostle Paul’s teaching in 1 Corinthians 2 helps us to keep a grip on what is real truth and real wisdom which far surpasses human opinion.
